Julia Pagan

University of Queensland

Dr Julia Pagan leads a research group in the School of Biomedical Sciences at the University of Queensland (UQ). Her research program at UQ employs interdisciplinary approaches, including biochemistry, proteomics, molecular biology, and cell biology, to understand how individual ubiquitin ligase subunits specifically target their substrates. Her team focuses on the regulation of centrosomes, microtubules, and mitochondria. Disruptions in the regulatory pathways of these organelles can lead to significant health issues, driving many diseases such as cancers and neurodegenerative disorders.
