Kyle is a Professor of Biotechnology at UNSW. His research lab is focussed on developing new mitochondrial uncoupler drugs that promote healthy ageing by boosting mitochondrial metabolism. Mitochondrial uncoupler molecules work by counteracting age-related slowing of metabolic rate and decreasing oxidative stress to lower the risk of developing chronic diseases.
