University of Adelaide

Associate Professor Lyndsey Collins-Praino leads the Cognition, Aging and Neurodegenerative Disease Lab (CANDL) in the School of Biomedicine at the University of Adelaide, where her research takes a bench-to-bedside approach to investigate the brain mechanisms that predict the onset and progression of cognitive decline in healthy ageing and neurological conditions, such as traumatic brain injury and Parkinson’s disease. Overall, this work aims for earlier identification of risk for improved diagnosis/prognosis and more targeted therapeutic intervention. She is also interested in the factors that promote healthy brain ageing, including those related to cognitive reserve.
