Severine Lamon

Deakin University

Dr Severine Lamon is an Associate Professor within Deakin University’s School of Exercise and Nutrition Sciences and Institute for Physical Activity and Nutrition and an ARC Future Fellow. Severine is a molecular biologist by training, and her research program focuses on the sex differences in skeletal muscle adaptation to health and disease, with a focus on investigating the role of sex hormones in muscle adaptation to ageing using cell, animal and human models. Severine is also the Victorian director of the Centre for Sex & Gender Equity in Health and Medicine, and the National Secretary of the Australian Physiological Society.
